Jasmine Newcombe

Director and Senior Physiotherapist

Jasmine brings 12 years of experience with Post Graduate qualifications in Paediatric Physiotherapy. She has worked as a physiotherapist with children across all setting including in the community, rural settings and large tertiary hospitals, including the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. She also teaches the physiotherapy program at the University of South Australia. Jasmine previously worked as a Senior Physiotherapist at MOVEability providing services to children and their families privately in the community.

Jasmine loves working with young children and providing early intervention, addressing any barriers and working closely with families to reach their goals. She is dedicated to providing holistic treatment in a familiar environment and goes above and beyond to achieve excellent outcomes.

She has seen time and time again where her clients could benefit from the input of a podiatrist and sought advice from Lachie about the best way forward. Hence the idea of Physi&Pod! This is a joint assessment where we work together, problem solving and clinically reasoning through any underlying issues and addressing them using our combined knowledge and experience.

Lachie

 Pediatric Podiatrist

Lachie is a qualified Podiatrist having graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry). His research has been published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research.

Since graduating, Lachie has worked in a number of diverse roles, from running the podiatry department in a small rural hospital to a busy clinic in the CBD.

Lachie's interest in podiatry stems from his personal experience with a number of lower limb issues which prevented him from participating in sport, and as such he understands firsthand what it is like to deal with pain resulting from foot and ankle injuries.

Adopting a highly personalised approach to the needs of each of his families, Lachie utilises a number of treatment modalities including taping, exercises, orthotic inserts, AFO prescription and footwear advice and modification.

Lachie has seen first hand how well physiotherapy and podiatry can work together. He developed Physi&Pod with Jasmine as a multidisciplinary approach is the best approach to treatment and management. We are proud to be leaders in this new emerging approach.
